The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the secret base, striking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:
- Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in search of the antagonist.
